What We Offer
Dragonball Sport
Dragonball is a multi-skill sport where players use their hands and feet to kick, throw and pass the Dragonballs in teams to score goals. There are two teams, two goals and seven Dragonballs in each game. Games can be played to points or to time, with players running, at walking pace, or in wheelchairs, and the game adapts to the age and abilities of the players.
–
“We wanted to make Dragonball an inclusive sport with a powerful positive message, there’s no ‘you’re not good enough’ or ‘we don’t want you on our team’, Dragonball is a unique sport that brings people together and it’s a great way to keep active, fit and healthy, to make friends and work together to score goals.” – Jenny Leggott (JT Scott), Dragonball Sports Director and Founder
Dragonball Education
Away from the sports field, Dragonball Education offers children the opportunity to explore limitless possibilities using their own creativity and imagination, expressing themselves through words, movement, music and craft in a stand-alone workshop session or as part of a six week creative learning programme.
–
Dragonball’s educational resources are created by education professionals in line with the curriculum and there’s also the opportunity for children with SEND to improve their mental and physical wellbeing through creative workshops as well as games on the sports pitch.
–
Using examples from the Sammy Rambles books, children build skills in layers using a holistic approach to learning that includes every child, enhancing their reading comprehension, grammar and phonics, giving them tools and confidence to excel. These English interventions complement Dragonball on the sports field, engaging children of all ages and abilities in both sport and literacy.
Dragonball For Schools
Dragonball is an exciting team sport that can be played indoors or outdoors, on grass, Astro, concrete, sand or in a sports hall. There are two teams, two goals and seven Dragonballs in every game and games can be played to time or to points. As well as playing Dragonball on the sports pitch, there are Dragonball educational resources available too.
–
Designed by education professionals in line with the curriculum, children (including SEND) can play Dragonball as part of a six-week sports programme and/or use Dragonball in the classroom using examples from the Sammy Rambles and Bumper and Friends books to build literacy and creativity skills for children of all ages and abilities.
SEND Dragonball
Working with industry leaders Dragonball is a fully inclusive sport where SEND children can and do excel. Dragonball is adapted specifically to enable children with disabilities to join teams with their friends and play social and competitive games.
–
Through Dragonball’s additional resources created by education professionals in line with the curriculum, there’s the opportunity for SEND children to improve their mental and physical wellbeing through creative workshops as well as games on the sports pitch.
